ROSIE WEAVER BARNES KATFAN.KY@ATT.NET SCHOOL FRIEND 306 LLOYDS LANE MT WASHINGTON,KY 40047 USA Ricky was the class of 1965 and I was the class of 1966. Many afternoons I would sit in the commercial art class at Ahrens and watch Ricky draw cartoons. He had such a talent with a pad and pencil and enjoyed it so much. Life was much too short. The last time I saw Ricky was in a carryout hamburger shop. He said he had just married Cheryl and was so happy. He was leaving shortly for Vietnam, but had nothing bad to say about his fate. He seemed as dedicated to his job as a soldier as he had to his expression of himself on paper. Many years have passed, but I still remember my dear friend. He has made his mark and will always be remembered fondly. Monday, September 06, 1999 |
