FROM MAY 1970--TO JULY 31, 1970.I WAS WOUNDED IN AN AMBUSH ON THE 31ST.OF JULY 1970, HAD 2 KILLED,WHO WERE WILLIAM (BUCK) AUSTIN, AND GREGG STEIMEL. 2 OTHER MEN WOUNDED,MAXWELL(HILLBILLY)WAS HIS NICK NAME AND BOB WILLKS(GRODIE)WAS HIS NICK NAME. It has been 35 years since I last left Vietnam and I would love to here from anyone that might have served with me during any of my toours in Vietnam. I was a doorgunner for 14 months between March of 64 and most of 65. I returned to Vietnam with the 25th Infantry Division in 66.
