In addendum: I served with Lt. Patton for almost two years when he was SSgt.Patton, at the corpus Christi Marine barricks. I was one of his favorite RAG DOLLS. The thing I remember most about him was his kind and gentle manner, especially when he offered to flip you for the jukebox. I further remember him for his enequalled patience, and his FIRM grip and old brown belt. His sense of houmor was great as was his smile and laughter. I remember him with the greatest of respect and think of him often. He Was a HELL of a MAN! If he was blessed with children They Should be proud of their OldMan! Sempr Fi!

. . Contributed By Barbara On Friday, January 04, 2002
I am looking for any service personnel who became US citizens, while serving in Vietnam, on October 24, 1969 in a ceremony at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel in Honolulu. Would like to hear whatever details you can remember about that day. There were approx. 600 men and women who became citizens that day in what was written up in the Honolulu paper as the largest citizenship swearing in ceremony for US military personnel.
