THANK YOU DEAR VETERANS!
. . Contributed By janice duke On Thursday, November 15, 2001
Thank you in the name of my generation for the may gifts which your sacrifices have provided for us. You are our greatest blessing & our Nation's Treasures. Without you I would not have the gift of freedom. Our active military personnel & our veterans do things every day in our name, that most of us would not do four ourselves. We stand taller as a country because we stand on the shoulders of all our men and women such as you. You make us proud every day. You are remembered and loved. HAPPY VETERANS DAY! Janice

My Thanksgiving Message 2001
. . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Saturday, November 17, 2001
Thanksgiving Message 2001 As we sit down for our meal this year we will do so with some sadness. We will know all to well that many of our fellow Americans will have one or two missing. I know every year we all loose someone who will not share this Thanksgiving Dinner with us. After this past September 11th we have all lost something that can not be seen. Gone is our feeling that no matter what goes on in our world we were untouched. Now that our land was the target and having lost so many of our fellow Americans in one despicable act of hate has left a void. We are more grateful for those who are touching our lives or have touched our lives. So this Thanksgiving say a prayer for all of us. Ask all who are sitting down with you to bow their heads in a moment of silence for those no longer here and those who are out there ridding the world of those responsible for the attack. Try to be Thankful for all you have. Think of those who have less. May God bless you and yours. Amen. Chaplain Howard Flexer Vietnam 65/66

He was my father and he died 7/15/68 in Thua Thien Province/South Vietnam. I would love to correspond with anyone who knew him and who might be able to tell me more about his service there and how he died. I was only 11 years old at the time and I still have many unanswered questions. Thanks!
