Vietnam

Between the heat and cold The dust and mold There lies a darker truth The lies and tails The dust and nails Of a misspent youth. 18 the war had come and I had to go To a forign country A place I did not know. I had to watch and kill Both the old and the young But when the day was over My night had just begun. The dreams I have just scare me I wish I could get out I once had no religion Now I am devout. I do my duty daily Though its getting worse every day Friends of mine are falling What am I to say I wish I could go home Even in my mind That world is long gone now I left it all behind something i wrote aboutmy fathers experiances in vietnam.

In view of all that is going on, My son has been in the Army for 15 year and is being deployed to who knows where. I would love to hear from someone who can help me deal with "how to be strong" for my son and not let him know the worry I have for him and all those leaving the great USA!
