Jim McPhillips . . Contributed By Jim Finan On Friday, November 03, 2000 LCPL Jim McPhillips, Marines was wounded between October 1 and October 10th of 1969 at or near Quang Tri City, South Vietnam. He passed away from his injuries on October 24, '69. Apparently, he was hit by hostile mortar fire. I have been searching for anyone who served with and expperienced what happened to him. He was my closest friend, and a fine Marine. Please e-mail me if you have any information. I tahnk you in advance.

His Captain was Major Morrison. They flew out of thialand. Major Morrison has been classified and proven KIA, however my brother was classified as MIA until 1978 when he was declared KIA. If you served with him in thialand or have any memories to share I would greatly appreciate hearing them. I miss my brother and all our family is gone but his son, my sister and I.
