50,000 Names on the Wall . . Contributed By Maj N.M. Kennedy On Tuesday, September 05, 2000 I recently heard a song by a folk couple called "50,000 Names On The Wall".the words were moving and chilling.and one of the best songs dedicated to those memoralized on the Wall. I would like to get the complete words to the song if anyone knows this tune.
VIETNAM: THEN AND NOW
I LOOKED INTO THE FACES OF THE MEN IN MY PLATOON: THEY KNEW THE FIGHT WAS COMING, HEADING THIER WAY REAL SOON. THEY LOOKED SO YOUNG AND SCARED, MUCH TOO YOUNG TO DIE. GAVE ME A REAL SICK FEELING, MADE ME WANT TO CRY. BUT THEY WERE THERE TO DO A JOB, LIKE THEIR FATHERS HAD DONE BEFORE. TO DO IT FOR THEIR COUNTRY, AND ASK AGAIN FOR MORE. I STILL REMEMBER THEM DYING AND CRYING FOR THE MOM, THOSE BRAVE YOUNG MEN WHO GAVE IT ALL THE THEN SOME. I DIDN'T KNOW MY SAVIOR THEN, BUT NOW I AM BORN AGAIN, HE CLEANSED ME OF MY SINS, NOW I LIVE MY LIFE FOR HIM. HE PUT VIETNAM ALL BEHIND ME, HE ERASED IT FROM MY THOUGHT. HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD WAS SPILLED, AND WITH IT MY SOUL WAS BOUGHT. I WILL LIVE MY LIFE FOR HIM IN EVERTHING I DO, AND IF YOU TURN TO HIM, HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU, TOO. IN MEMORY OF JERRY DEAN JONES, LEXINGTON, KENTUCY KIA-1970 WRITTEN BY: VIETNAM VETERAN CO C 75th AIRBORNE RANGER LONG RANGE RECON PATROL AN-KHE, VIETNAM
