I am looking for any Marines W.I.A. & evac'd by Uh-34d's; late Nov. '66 Op. Rio Blanco during the VC breakout 17Km. W. of Quang Ngai City, S. of the Son Tra Khoc River, & '34 drivers and gunners off that LSA who flew those evac's.

I would love to contact anyone who served with my father. I was only two when he died (10-7-67) and I was never able to know him. My mother still mourns him greatly and so is reluctant to speak of him. Any information would be incredibly appreciated.

The FWF is hosting their annual retreat 11-14 Nov. 1999, Nestucca Sanctuary, on the Oregon Coast. The retreat is designed for veterans and non-veterans and families to come together in a space of mutual sharing, to gently explore healing the wounds of war. It will be led by Claude AnShin Thomas of Zen Peace Order, a veteran of the Vietnam War, who draws upon his own journey as a soldier to spiritual pracititioner, and many years of leading reatreats for veterans.
