Mike Morgan I served with Jack in Phu Bai Vietnam 131st aviation co and was a crew chief on the flight line the day he left on his last flight. I had interacted many times with him and can say he was a very well liked officer by the enlisted men who worked with him. It will be 41 years ago in a couple days since his plane when down and I know I still remember him and his sacrafice. I came across an item on Page 32 of the 1st aviation brigade Hawk winter 1972 magazine which listed his name on a list of silver star receipicants. May 29, 2012

Manuel Pino 2/8 Bco 1st Cav-68-69 mpjr54@msn.com Fellow Vietnam Army Vet Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings, Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things. You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung, high in the sunlit silence, hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle flew, and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God. CWO., Dale Robertson (SPUD 11) dalewr99@hotmail.com Friend, fellow Warant, Officer/Pilot 525, Howard St., Savannah, Ga., 31401, USA Once a "SPUD," - always. Jack Brunson was, 2, or 3, classes, behind me, in Fixed Wing, flight school, at Ft. Rucker, AL.. I used to "haze" him, all the time, (as was tradition) as a senior, classman. He always, took it well. More, than anything else, Jack wanted, to fly OV-1, Mohawk aircraft, (the army's hottest!) He finally, got his chance. I remember, when he first showed up, at the 131st, Aviation Company, (Aerial Surveillance) in Phu Bai. As was tradition, we got him, drunk, in the officers,' club (SPUD CLUB)and after, he went to bed, we simulated a ground attack, compete with our "Spud Cannons." (We scared, the hell out, of all the newbie,s that way!) the 131st's, missions, were Top Secret, outside, Viet Nam missions - Laos, Cambodia, North Viet Nam and Thailand. We used SLAR., (side looking airborne radar) IR. (Infra Red) and nose and belly, cameras and worked, as a "Hunter-Killer" team, for the most, part. During this time, period, Jack and I, flew A,B,C and Super "C," models. God Bless, Jack Brunson. CWO., Dale Robertson, "SPUD," 11. Saturday, May 27, 2000

GEORGE FOWLER powmia66@yahoo.com childhood friend 9032, Erie Road, Apt., #2, Angola, NY., 14006, USA REMEMBERANCE - WELCOME HOME I remember Jack, as a youngster, in 6th grade, at CVCS.. Although, there was 6, years, between us, we became friends. he was, a good athlete and popular. Needless, to say, when I was informed, of his MIA., status, I was shocked. I held, his bracelet for years, until it was, laid, to rest, in our memorial park, here, in Buffalo. Now, that he is home, in Arlington, I can, have peace. Rest in peace my friend, for you are, with the real heros, of that war. May, God bless you. Know, that you are here, in my heart, eternally. SSG., George R. Fowler, MACV., II, Corps, '66.
