C-130 Heroes
A C-130 Hercules took off from Phu Bai airfield near Hue for the short flight to Da Nang. The weather was poor with low cloud and ground fog and 10 minutes after taking off the aircraft flew into a mountain about 15 miles to the southeast of Phu Bai. The aircraft struck the mountain about 150 feet below its 1,850 feet summit and all 24 on board were killed in the accident. The wreckage was discovered two days later.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Hi Dad, Long time, no see. My daughters are grown up now, but you have two new, tiny grandsons Nicholas and Kit. Scott named the sweet one after you! He says he's as gentle and polite as you were, raising his tiny hand when he wants attention. Nicholas is the rowdy one who yells a lot. I wish you could see them and hold them. You would've been such a happy Grandad. I'm glad I was just old enough to know you as a happy Daddy. I wish it had been longer than 8 1/2 years. I was just getting good at the 'wrapping-Daddy-around-my-little-finger' when you were killed. I set the dinner table for you for over a year, and Scott waited every night out on the steps for you to come home. Mom must have suffered so much from losing the best man she'd ever known and loved, but she never showed it. She never, ever, got over losing you. I don't think any of us has. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. And miss you. And whenever I hear "Taps", I just cry and cry for the Daddy I knew and the Daddy I needed, but is dead. I loved you then, I love you still, Daddy's girl

You, Sir, Have Not, Been Forgotten! href="http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004">http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004

I had, the opportunity to visit, The Vietnam Memorial Wall. I was so overwhelmed, with sorrow and pain, that I could not hold back the tears, for those heroes and their families, who lost so much. Though my visit, to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel, that I left a piece, of my heart there. To honor those, who died in the Vietnam, War and to say thank you, I created a small tribute, to those heroes. Please click, on the link above, to view, my website.

Please know, that you have, not been forgotten and always will hold a special place, in my heart! It would have been nice, to have known you, as a person and I greatly, appreciate your service! I just wish, you did not have to pay, so, high a price! You forever will, be a hero, in my eyes!
