i am a friend of the family and we still believe him to be alive as late as 1992 and it is a shame that sam was left behind along with all the others and the newspaper in our county wont investigate this.

Native Philadelphian & Viet Vet
The 26-year-old Air Force chief master sergeant was declared missing in action on December 13, 1968, after an aircraft to which he was assigned did not return to the air base at Nakhom Phanom, Thailand. "Sam" Walker was a 1961 graduate of Thomas Edison High School, and had entered the Air Force later that year. He is one of nine MIA's from Philadelphia. Source: The Philadelphia Daily News
