Catching Up
I did not directly know Peter's father; however, I had a pretty good idea of what kind of man he was, by the way his son Peter and his sisters grew up. We attended elementary school together (in Melrose, MA), although he was several years behind me. They were personable and respected by all who interacted with them. The respect they showed to their family, friends and teachers relected their upbringing. You could not help but to gravitate toward them and develop a friendshjip. I lost touch with Peter over ten years ago and hope that he or any family member reads this and contacts me. It is honor to have crossed paths, during this life's journey.

Gard and I were roommates at Annapolis for 3 years. I held one of the swords that he and Nancy walked under at their wedding in the Naval Academy Chapel. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about him and the great sacrifice he made for all of us. He was an officer and a gentleman in every sense of the word. May we all meet again someday.
