RICHARD EDWARD SMITH

You are  not Forgotten
Your Big Smile that always lit up my whole life and others, is a light that is Always missed and never meant to be seen by your son nor were you meant to know how proud he and I are of you for putting yourself out there to protect our country. You chose to put yourself ahead of the front lines as a Long Range Recon Patrol. You became our brave hero!
We love and miss you always,
Your loving wife Joyce and son Ritchie

Forever grateful
They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted. They fell with their faces to the foe. Remembering you today Richard Edward Smith. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.

Your earthly time expired so soon, on the same day as that of our hometown hero, Patrick Dearborn Lcpl, who's also displayed on this panel 29E. May God bless your family and all who knew you, and grant you peace in the paradise of His making. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
