He was my Sgt. I served with him for only a short while. I was in the same bunker with him when the rocket hit us. We Ue less than 5 feet apart. He came to the bunker to warn of the impending attack. I wrote him up for a metal never knew if his wife received it or not. I remember off duty he spoke of his wife and daughter and of his plans to be a heavy equipment operator when he got out. He truly loved his country and family. So hard to understand why his was taken so young with so much to live for.
