Daniel Owen owend379@aol.com nephew I hear so much but know so little Hey Harlod, you never met me but I have heard so much about you. My middle name was named after you and that would be part of the reason I hear so much. The past month Harriet (grandma) died and I'm sure you're happy to see your sister again in Heaven. I wish there was more I knew about you but at the moment there really isn't. I have received pictures and stories and even watched the only video Harriet had of you with your friends on the beach. I hear you disappeared on a flight. But recently I received the band. The silver MIA band that belonged to Harriet. The date you started the war and the rank you were. Why you keep popping up in my life? I'm not sure. But I'm sure glad I found this wall. Helps to hear the things others know about you. So that's all I know. God bless. Jun 20, 2011 |

Margery  Bogus Bogus52@aol.com wore his MIA bracelet 85 Wickham Rd Glastonbury CT 06033 USA A missing soldier that I thought about for many years LTC Harold Alwan, it is fitting for me to have a place to address this to you personally. From that one day in the 70's when I put on a bracelet with the name " Maj Harold Alwan 2/27/67, I have thought about you and prayed for you. I would quietly wonder where you were, if you were safe, if you were free from pain. I said many private prayers for you and your family and tried to understand the incredible sacrifice you had made for me and our country. Years ago, I finally found information about your last mission. I know now that all questions are still not answered. Your bracelet stays with me in very special place and will only leave me if a relative of yours wants it for their children. Thank you for all that you sacrificed for every American. Somehow, however, thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. Mar 27, 2008 |

Richard Martin lrsfin@bellsouth.net none 1234 South Dixie Highway #156 Coral Gables FL 33146 USA Thank You I received a braclet with your name recently. Your bio stated you graduated from Notre Dame. I went to USC--I thought that was ironic considering the history with our schools. I was also in the plc program in college hoping to be a marine--another irony. Thank you for your service & I will wear the bracelet proudly & keep you & your family in my prayers. Jun 27, 2007 |

Angela Steigerwald beltane@mailexcite.com an unknown friend 3368, Tobacco Rd., #15, Greenville, NC., 27834, USA I do not know, who this man is, but I, was given a braclet, from my father in law. I have always felt, that my generation, (the 20 somethings) should remember the heros, of Vietnam and since, my uncle served in Vietnam, I wanted to show my support, of these great veterans. Anyway, when my father in law gave me, this bracelet, I was determined, that I would find out as much as I could, about this man. And even though, I never personally met, LTC., Alwan, I feel, that he is a piece of me, as are all Vietnam Vets., because it could of just as easy been my uncle, who was killed, in action. Goddess bless all, who served and gave their heart, soul and their lives. Blessed Be, Angela Steigerwald, LTC., you will always be, in my heart and my thoughts Tuesday, January 11, 2000 |
